Meet the Founders

Creating the space for change

Humanava is a leadership development platform dedicated to fostering leaders who build diverse, mindful, and impactful communities. Our mission is to empower individuals and teams to initiate and embrace change within a supportive environment. We believe in creating the space for intentional development, knowing it leads to meaningful transformation.

Before Humanava, there was Stand Up For Passion, a storytelling series founded in New York City in 2014. The concept? Seven inspiring and diverse speakers, each with seven minutes to share their story of transformation. These stories — so real, so personal — inspired honesty and genuine connection. At the end of every event, instead of rushing out into the night, people stayed. They had meaningful conversations. They left with the glow of found community and shared experience. They felt part of something special, something magic.

Those events sparked change. Participants transformed their careers, pursued new passions, and made significant life changes. Speakers found the confidence to step into leadership or write books. Stand Up For Passion became a conscious community across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. The format broadened. We offered team-building workshops and collaboration with leaders from well-known organizations. Each event was still based on the belief that all humans desire and deserve authenticity and positive change.

Then, Covid hit. Events around the world got canceled, and spaces fell silent. In this global pause, Humanava was born.

Today, we continue to carry forward the spirit of Stand Up For Passion through Humanava, adapting to new ways of connecting and growing. We are back to creating impactful events and offering leadership training, with the same intention of fostering meaningful change. Our commitment to building diverse, mindful, and impactful communities remains stronger than ever. We invite you to join us on this journey.

A fully integrated learning experience that combines video lessons with live skill-building sessions. Study at your own pace with comprehensive recordings, readings, and tools. All content is accessed through our custom platform.

Each module comprises of asynchronous, self-paced components – 10 hours of bite-sized video lessons, and 3 hours of readings, handouts, interactive sessions, and knowledge checks over a 13-week period.

Our cohorts are designed for busy professionals! Our live sessions will usually meet once a week for 2 hours and run for 5-6 weeks.

My team is really busy. How can we fit this into our schedule?

We record every live session and make it available for you and your team for replay.

What if I miss a live session?

Not exactly in the traditional sense. You will be given exercises that you can put into practice during the week. Of course you don’t have to participate — but we hope you will, as it really brings the learning to life.

Will there be homework?

Yes! We organize cohorts by specific themes for individuals. Please reach out to us at contact@humanava.com.

Can I join a cohort myself?

Each course is one to two hours long and contains around 10 short video modules.

‘Mānava मानव' means ‘human’ in Sanskrit. Combined with the English word ‘human’, our name represents our inclusive global humanity. You can pronounce it HUMAN-ava or hu-MANAVA, whichever you prefer.

Why the name Humanava?

Human or soft skills are the qualities that are unique to human beings: creativity, intuition, self-awareness, communication, flexibility, compassion, empathy, emotional intelligence, and many more. Our soft skills training programs encourage you to develop these abilities.
